The Lakers are finally back on track after a somewhat challenging start to the season. LeBron James’ side secured a significant victory against the Portland Trail Blazers, overcoming initial struggles in the game.
In the final moments, they astounded fans with exceptional performances, providing a thrilling experience for the on-site crowd. While Lakers fans are relishing the positive outcomes, there appears to be a mixed sentiment among the majority of members.
Fans react to Lakers’ nail-biting win Over Blazers
After the Lakers secured a victory in the matchup, and notably without LeBron James, fans had an enthusiastic reaction. This was particularly heightened as successful teams in recent years, such as the Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, and the Clippers, all suffered losses on the same day. One fan expressed their joy by commenting, “Lakers Win, Warriors, Suns, Nuggets & Clippers loss, we’re eating good tonight.”
However, some fans in the community are also a little upset and puzzled by the excitement of the Lakers fans. Some fans believe that the Blazers were done dirty as some referee decisions were in favor of the Lakers. One fan expressed himself on X and said, “I am sorry how does a Lakers fan feel good after watching their team almost lose to the Blazers, after the Refs put you all at the line 37 times tonight, and only put the Blazers at the line 9 times? watched this game, this was a 100% cheat job!”
LeBron James misses first NBA league game due to injury
The Lakers enjoyed a slim victory over the Blazers on Sunday and Anthony Davis emerged as the leader for the Los Angeles side. The ace of the Lakers, LeBron James did not play in the match as he was not able to participate due to an injury. Initially, James was listed as questionable on the injury status report but was ruled out before the start of Sunday’s game.
James had suffered a contusion in his left calf during the against the Phoenix Suns that they ended up winning. He was seen limping after a foul was committed on him in the first quarter. James received medical treatment on the bench before returning to the game that night, after which he appeared fine, contributing to a comeback against the Suns. However, it’s a great opportunity to rest James, considering the length of the season and the crucial need for his prowess in the upcoming stretch of games.
