Deshaun Watson started the season on a high note, with a convincing victory over the Cincinnati Bengals and a wild party to embellish the opening. Misfortune did not take much time to strike in his life, taking a shot at his bank account and leaving him with an ugly target of a pile of injuries.
After missing a series of games, the starter again fell prey to injury during the Raven’s Week 10 game. Ahead of the Week 11 campaign against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brown’s legendary player has a promising update on his injury.
Deshaun Watson injury update
Deshaun Watson injured his ankle during the first half of Sunday’s 33-31 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, being sacked by his former Browns teammate, Jadeveon Clowney. In spite of leaving the field, he stayed in the game for eight more plays prior to the break, after meeting with the medical teams on the sidelines, as per ESPN.
The team’s coach, Kevin Stefanski, revealed that he had to undergo an MRI on his left ankle following the game. Following the game, the player himself conveyed his utter belief in being able to run in the Raven’s next stint as well.
“I’ll be fine. Right now, I’m not feeling well, but I’ll be fine. I’ll be ready to go and ready for that opportunity for us.”
Before this injury, Deshaun Watson skipped Week 4 and 6 games for a hamstring injury and Week 9 for a shoulder injury.
Emmanuel Acho reinvigorates his Deshaun Watson case
Following Brown’s win over the Ravens, Emmanuel Acho had some words to raise questions about Deshaun Watson’s trade. Watson was traded by the Houston Texans before the last season after being a target of sexual assault and inappropriate conduct during massage sessions.
The trade has brought major good luck for the Browns, as with Watson, the team lost only one game this season.
Furthermore, in spite of skipping the game briefly for injury, Watson returned in a fierce manner in the second half, completing all 14 of his pass attempts for 134 yards. He also scored a touchdown during the game. With the performance, he garnered appreciation from the Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill.
In contrast, Jackson tossed 13-of-23 passes for 223 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
In the eyes of Acho, Deshaun outplayed Jackson, serving as a stern warning for the Texans who did not hold their trust in their quarterback. Emmanuel also did not hold back in claiming Watson’s trade was the “worst trade in NFL history”.

In his appearance in only six games, Brown’s quarterback racked up 1,115 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions.
