LeBron James sets a new record in NBA history
On Tuesday, a historic moment unfolded a page in the record books that is likely to remain dedicated to LeBron James for a considerable time. Approaching his final group play In-Season Tournament game against the Utah Jazz, LeBron boasted a career total of 38,995 points. Early in the game, he secured his fifth point, marking a significant milestone as the first player in NBA history to surpass the 39,000-point mark.
LeBron James has reached a stage in his 21-year NBA career where he seems to set records in nearly every game. For instance, on November 17, he established a new record for the most points in a game in any player’s 21st season, scoring 35 points against the Portland Trail Blazers. Remarkably, he surpassed this record just two nights later by scoring 37 points against the Houston Rockets on November 19. LeBron’s enduring excellence at such a high level makes every game an opportunity to etch his name further into the annals of history.
In the previous season, LeBron James cemented his status as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer during a February game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, reaching his 38,388th career point. This accomplishment surpassed the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and propelled LeBron into uncharted territory. As he progresses in his career, each milestone he achieves adds another layer to the challenge of surpassing his own records.
LeBron James’ incredible no-look setup on the fast break
LeBron James has been relentless in displaying his skills on the court and recently and he pulled off an amazing no-look pass to his teammate, who found the basket against the Utah Jazz.
A short clip has since gone viral of LeBron recovering the ball from the Lakers’ end to dash energetically toward the Jazz’s end and delivered an unexpected no-look pass to his Lakers’ teammate. LeBron’s display which amazed everyone including the commentators, received huge headlines during the game and after.
Despite LeBron’s age, his on-court work rate has been impressive this season, as he has had back-to-back 35 and 37 game points, which has inspired the Lakers’ five wins in the last six games.
LeBron in 13 games, has averaged 26.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.5 assists at 58.6% from the field and 39.7% from 3-point range. As the Lakers host the in-form Dallas Mavericks next, the Lakers’ faithful can only hope for another LeBron’s epic showdown yet again.
