After enjoying the largest target share in 2022, Davante Adams was probably looking for another series milestone season. Unfortunately, the Las Vegas Raiders Player was cut short in the practice session against the San Francisco 49ers owing to a leg injury.
Before the season, the Raiders’ best offensive weapons’ injury raised great concern. Nevertheless, the team’s head coach Josh McDaniels provided an insightful announcement regarding the Raiders’ bonafide WR1 that could bring some relief.
Update on Davante Adams’ injury
It appeared almost as if the Las Vegas squad had found all of the answers to the problems regarding a potent offensive lineup after possessing Adams last season. In the midst of all the buzz, their star player encountered an injury when he hurt his right leg during practice on Friday.
On the opening play of the 11-on-11 drills, Ward hit the six-time Pro Bowler hard, causing him to depart the field with what appeared to be a leg injury. The Raiders coach offered clarity on his injuries, however, he did;t go into specifics or offer a specific timeline for the comeback. Davante’s injury is not seen to be serious by McDaniels, who anticipates that he will be back in action soon.

“I don’t think it was crazy serious,” McDaniels said. “It was a bang-bang play.”
Following his claim, there is some hope that DA will join the squad during practice next week before Raiders’ second preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams.
How crucial is Devante Adams to Raider’s offense?
After a productive eight-year tenure with the Green Bay Packers, Adams began his career with the Raiders a year ago. The 30-year-old set team records for receptions (100), receiving yards (1,516), and touchdowns (14), all in his debut season with the Raiders.
The former Packers player remained a focal point for the Raiders even though his team finished the previous season 6-11 and missed the playoffs. His initial season with the Raiders in 2022 saw him earn a spot on the first-team All-Pro due to his debut-year success.
He ranked third in the NFL in receiving yards and led the league in receiving touchdowns last season; no other player on the Raiders roster so far has shown any major signs of taking his spot.
