AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho discusses possibilities of replacing Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, joining Saudi Pro League in future

Jose Mourinho’s time at Real Madrid was an eventful one, though there are doubts as to whether it was a successful one. During his three seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu from 2010 to 2013, Mourinho won three major trophies, including the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Supercup.

Jose Mourinho talks on replacing Carlo Ancelotti

Jose Mourinho’s achievements at Real Madrid remain a topic of discussion. Some admire his record-breaking La Liga win, disrupting Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona, and reaching three UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Speaking on the speculation of him rejoining Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho said, “Me at Real Madrid? When you have a super coach, why should you think of another? Knowing Don Florentino [Perez, Madrid president], and I know him very well, he is a super intelligent man. If he reads the press, he has very clear ideas. As a Madridista, as a man who has some white ribs, and as an Ancelottian, I hope that the season goes fantastically and that next season Carlo is still there, because I think he is the perfect coach for Real Madrid.”

Jose Mourinho voices plans to join Saudi Pro League

Mourinho’s contract with Roma is set to expire at the end of the season. Despite receiving a lucrative offer to join the Saudi Pro League during the summer, he reportedly turned it down. However, the 60-year-old Portuguese, who once spoke about why Lionel Messi has more Ballon d’Ors than Cristiano Ronaldo, is now leaning towards the possibility of joining Saudi Arabia.

Jose Mourinho’s Roma team is currently seventh in Serie A, three points away from the Champions League places. Their next Serie A match is scheduled for November 26 against Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico.
