Marcus Rashford was recently seen spending time with his ex-girlfriend, Lucia Loi. The 26-year-old rented out a whole French wine bar, which has the capacity to seat 18 people. According to a statement from a source, as reported by The Sun, “They were there for hours laughing and joking. It’s a very nice place and he booked the whole of it for just the two of them. He couldn’t stop smiling.”
This has sparked rumors that the two are once again dating each other, though there is no acknowledgement from either of them. On an important note, Lucia was not wearing her engagement ring.
Lucia Loi studied business at the University of Manchester. The two have been dating since they were both 15 years old, and it is thought their relationship lasted ten years. She was famously in the stands during England’s 2018 World Cup, stunning fans with her appearance.
Rashford then finally proposed to her in epic fashion in May 2022 while on holiday in California. He did it on a bed of flowers with other exotic floral arrangements, and she accepted, becoming his fiancée.
Why did Rashford split with his ex-girlfriend?
Even though the two were engaged, they decided to split up five months ago for no specific reason. The whole split-up was seen as bizarre due to both of them being very close. The two are reportedly still good friends and it seems their splitting was not due to any drastic reason.
In fact, the two had also previously split up in 2021, and were separated for 8 months citing the stress of a relationship in a pandemic. They eventually got back together and just four months later would become engaged.
The previous fact, along with their recent encounter means there is a possibility they will return to being in a relationship. Their history and such only proves this even more.
