However, Philips and Lawson’s activities with the fan urged many fans to ask the league to slap them with fines.

Three recent incidents involving footballers engaged in a heated exchange of words did not result in fines or suspensions as they didn’t shove or strike. However, The Inquirer revealed an NFL source said that Lawson likely would be fined and probably suspended due to being physical with the fan.
