The curtain has fallen on the 2023 F1 season, concluding with the highly anticipated Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This season, marked by a rollercoaster of highs and lows, was mainly dominated by the formidable presence of Red Bull. As the championship draws to a close, the question remains whether Red Bull’s supremacy will extend to the next season.
Over this year, Formula One enthusiasts witnessed 22 thrilling races, two of them not being able to hold for unavoidable circumstances and each contributing to the excitement of the season. However, it is reported that the FIA will try to strictly conduct the 24-hour schedule in the upcoming season.
F1 2024 calendar
The 2024 F1 is set to kick off on an unconventional note, with the season opening on February 29 and concluding on December 8. Additionally, at the end of February in Bahrain, pre-testing will be held to enhance the excitement of the sport. This crucial testing period, occurring just a week before the inaugural race, will also prepare the drivers mentally and physically.

The opening two races of the season, set to unfold in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, will refrain from starting with the traditional Sunday schedule. Instead, they will take place on Saturday nights, an adjustment made for the holy month of Ramadan.

Changes coming to F1 in 2024
There have been reports of several major changes being conducted in the Formula One Season, with one of them being the sprint race format. On Friday, the FIA announced that its Sporting Advisory Committee is set to unfold a proposal to the F1 Commission in January.

“The Commission gave overall support for an update to the sprint format for 2024 to further rationalize the weekend by separating Sprint activities from those for the Grand Prix.”
Apart from that, Max Verstappen has also pledged the FIA to adjust the schedule in a way to is beneficial to both the drivers’ health and environment.
