Warriors Chris Paul faces skepticism from ex-Rockets swingman on NBA Championship aspirations

The Golden State Warriors star, Chris Paul, is a great player who has enjoyed an impressive career in the NBA. However, he is missing the biggest achievement a player can attain – an NBA championship. CP3 has never won a ring, leaving an unfilled space in an otherwise complete career.

Trevor Ariza, a former player for the Houston Rockets, shared his views on CP3 winning a ring with the Warriors during an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast ‘Club Shay Shay,’ expressing skepticism about the possibility.

Paul faces skepticism from Trevor Ariza

The former small forward for the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Lakers, Trevor Ariza was invited to the podcast of NFL legend Shannon Sharpe. Among the questions Sharpe asked Ariza was one about Chris Paul. Specifically, Sharpe inquired whether Ariza believed CP3 could secure his first ring with the Golden State this season.

Ariza thought for a moment and responded with a simple ‘No.’ The former Rockets player then explained his reasoning, emphasizing that his skepticism wasn’t a critique of Chris Paul but rather a doubt about the Warriors’ ability to secure a win, especially against the dominant Denver Nuggets with Nikola Jokic running rampant in the league.

He said, “Nobody goes and f*** with Denver on the West right now specially, the way they move the ball with Jokic being on the team, coach Malone and Jamal yeah. I wouldn’t have done it personally and their team is just like that.”

Chris Paul expresses deep respect for Derrick Rose’s resilience

The Golden State Warriors star Chris Paul has recently expressed his deep respect for the Memphis Grizzlies star Derrick Rose. Even though they’ve faced each other only a few times, CP3’s statements reflect the immense respect he has for Rose. Chris emphasized that both he and Rose have had injury-ridden careers, preventing them from meeting on the court frequently.

CP3 reportedly said, “Me and Rose, over our careers we have only played against each other few times. I know that, I do not even know if he knows that. It is so crazy throughout our careers that when it was time for me to play him, he might be hurt, or vice versa. It is crazy it just worked out that way.”

He further added, “When I was in Houston I got a chance to talk with him for a little bit and told him how much I appreciate him as a hooper. Because I have had injuries over my career, I know it affects you mentally, it challenges you. Me and D Rose, I do not know him like that, but I am one of his biggest fans, I watch him hoop and I just see it is nothing like your body letting you do what you feel you can do.”

What do you think of Trevor Ariza’s comment on Chris Paul winning a ring? What do you think of CP3’s token of respect towards Derrick Rose? We are eager to know your thoughts, so drop down in the comments and let us know.
