LeBron James gives shoutout to Jay-Z
The Los Angeles Lakers ace, LeBron James has recently given a shout out to the American Rapper Jay-Z on his official X (formerly Twitter) account ahead of the rapper’s 54th birthday. Bron called him the GOAT as the greatest of all time in the rap music industry.
Bron reposted a post by the official X account of Shawn Carter Show which featured a picture of Jay-Z with the caption “54 at midnight.”
King James added his own message to the post and captioned his repost with a single goat emoji that depicted his respect for the legendary rapper. When the likes of LeBron James who himself is in contention for the NBA GOAT title places such high compliment on an artist, he is surely meant to gain attention.
Jay-Z has accomplished a lot in the rap industry and truly is a contender for a seat among greats like the ever-controversial Kanye West. Jay-Z is the sole hip-hop artist in the world to hold the most Grammy awards and has sold more than 140 million records worldwide making him one of the top-selling artists worldwide.
LeBron James and Jay-Z’s friendship
The relationship between LeBron James and Jay-Z has been a very close one. Bron and Jay had met each other through a mutual friend back in 2002 when Bron was a hyped-up high school student dreaming of playing in the NBA.
Their strong and close friendship is based on mutual respect and admiration for each other and transcends their respective fields of basketball and music.
