As the year 2023 winds down, Dominik shows no signs of slowing down, and his stellar wrestling résumé just got much better with the addition of another major accomplishment. Just recently, the Twitter account for Wrestle Features revealed match statistics for the year 2023. “Dirty” Dom came in second with 95 bouts, while Cody Rhodes led with 99.
A significant achievement was accomplished by Dominik this week as he wrestled his 100th bout on Monday Night Raw. This puts him in second place, behind only Cody Rhodes, who has 102 matches to his name. It was an unforgettable evening, despite Dominik and JD McDonagh’s loss against The Creed Brothers.
Rhea Ripley’s heartfelt reaction on Twitter demonstrated her immense pride in her on-screen love partner Dominik Mysterio, as reported by Wrestling News when Dominik completed his 100th bout of 2023. Just by tweeting a black heart, Mami drew the attention of her admirers.
Shawn Michaels praises Dominik Mysterio
Despite the great number of villains in WWE at the moment, very few of them manage to energize the audience. One of them is Dominik Mysterio, and Shawn Michaels, also known as the Heartbreak Kid, shares that opinion as well. Dominik is the current NXT North American Champion, and Michaels just said on the Cheap Heat Podcast that he thinks Dom is a great man.
Michaels was quite effusive in his praise of Dominik when speaking with Peter Rosenberg. He went so far as to praise him as the industry’s hardest worker, WWE’s most valuable player for the year, and likened him to Iron Man in front of everyone.
Dirty Dom, who is currently reigning as NXT North American Champion, will face off against Wes Lee at Deadline in his last match of the year. Dominik has had a tremendous year in WWE, from NXT forward, regardless of whether he loses the championship or not.
