The Copa America 2024 groups were announced on Thursday, December 7th, and the tournament will be held in the United States of America, with the 16 participating teams allocated into four groups.
The USMNT has been drawn into Group C, joining Uruguay, the joint most successful nation in the tournament, and the reigning champions Argentina, boasting 15 titles. Additionally, they are one of the most competitive teams in world soccer, currently ranking 11th in the FIFA world rankings.
One of the other members alongside Uruguay is Bolivia, another competitive side currently standing in 9th place in the CONMEBOL 2026 World Cup qualifying. They could pose a threat to the US Men’s National Team’s chances of advancing to the next round.
The third side in Group C is Panama, the Central American nation that secured direct qualification following victory over Costa Rica in the CONCACAF National League quarterfinals, solidifying their spot in Copa América.
