The Best in the World, CM Punk, has been a mainstay on WWE television since his comeback, and he hasn’t let up. The Second City Saint has changed his approach when chatting with other celebrities backstage at the Orlando, Florida, WWE Performance Center.
Punk added fuel to the fire by posting a selfie of himself working out with NXT talents Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade, which went viral online. In a touching Father’s Day tribute, CM Punk just posted this update detailing his time spent training at the WWE Performance Center.
CM Punk spends “father daughters day” with Cora Jade, Roxanne Perez
At the Chicago Survivor Series, CM Punk made his WWE return and signed an exclusive agreement with RAW. The 45-year-old will compete in next month’s Men’s Royal Rumble event in Tampa Bay, Florida.
In a lovely turn of events, CM Punk went to the WWE Performance Center on Tuesday and posted an Instagram photo with NXT talents Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. He cleverly renamed it a “father-daughter day,” inserting kayfabe by bringing up an imaginary altercation between the two celebrities before he finally got them to pose for a picture.
The fact that CM Punk and AJ Lee are like parents to Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez adds to the touching background. The young celebrities have a unique relationship with Punk, and they have spoken about their adoration for the pair in interviews.
Perez recently paid tribute to AJ Lee on social media a few days ago, and on NXT Deadline, Punk had a nice moment with the Sorceress of Sin, so it’s clear that they share a friendship. The Best in the World maintains an extraordinary bond with NXT’s up-and-coming talents.
Backstage update on CM Punk’s performance center visit
A surprise guest at the Orlando NXT taping was CM Punk, who is affiliated with RAW. Punk interacted with stars like Bobby Lashley, Tamina, The Miz, and Baron Corbin. He spoke to Triple H and The Miz to clarify the air. Punk reportedly returned to the WWE Performance Center on Wednesday to continue aggressively mentoring new prospects, after spending Tuesday backstage providing match analysis.
According to PWInsider, Punk spent time at the Performance Center exercising and engaging with NXT performers, even after being a part of RAW. During his unannounced visit, he watched matches, offered tips, and roamed freely in the technical areas and Gorilla position.
The next day, Punk came back to keep lending a hand. Punk reportedly hopes to manage “NXT” and develop under Shawn Michaels’s direction and appreciates his endorsements, but there are currently no plans to replace Michaels. From his time at Ohio Valley Wrestling forward, Punk has been heavily involved with television production.
