The Kansas City Chiefs are undoubtedly on their way to building a new dynasty in the NFL, much like the legendary star Tom Brady’s former team New England Patriots. Whether the Chiefs can attain the mark of earning six Super Bowl titles like the Patriots remains a question, but their records from the last few years have already established them as a formidable force in the league.
After beating the San Francisco 49ers in their preseason opener a few days ago, Patrick Mahomes’ squad once again broke the Arizona Cardinals’ heart by securing a phenomenal victory over them. Meanwhile, Pat’s wife Brittany Mahomes’ question about the empty stadium raised the eyebrows of some fans.
Chiefs’ QB leads team to win against Cardinals
The Chiefs squad clinched a 38-10 victory over the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Friday night and Mahomes once again moonlighted as an on-field hero by completing 10 of 15 passes for 105 yards along with a touchdown while playing in the entire first quarter.

Mahomes along with other three quarterbacks Shane Buechele, Blaine Gabbert, and Chris Oladokun combined to complete 31 of 38 passes for 393 yards along with three touchdowns. Besides them, Pat delivered some high praise for the Chiefs’ rookie receiver Rashee Rice following his outstanding performance.
“You can see the talent. He makes a lot of tough catches. He had a drop early and then responded well. I think that’s just the jitters of being in your first few NFL games. I’ve got a lot of trust in him that he’ll make those catches in tough spaces.”
Kansas City’s second-round pick out of SMU managed to catch eight passes for 96 yards. Chiefs coach Andy Reid raved about their defense while citing required improvement for the offense as the offensive players dropped a few passes while committing a few penalties and eventually falling short of the end zone.
Patrick Mahomes’ wife voices frustration over the empty stadium at Chiefs game
Though Kansas City managed a 17-0 lead late in the second quarter, Arizona cut it to 17-7 just before halftime, albeit they fell short at the end. Seemingly, the Cardinals fans were already expecting a defeat from their beloved team as no single fan appeared in the Arizona stadium to watch the match.
Brittany couldn’t believe her eyes after seeing a completely empty stadium and put a picture on her Instagram story saying, “There ain’t a single person in here”, with two emojis.
Mahomes‘ wife might not witness the situation in Kansas City as the Chiefs’ team is set to be among the best teams of the NFL once again this year.
However, the Cardinal is struggling in the league and is expected to be picked to be among the worst NFL teams as they showcased terrible performance last season and don’t have any high hopes in the upcoming season as well. On top of that, Arizona’s QB1 Kyler Murray might not play the first several weeks of the regular season as he is still recovering from a torn ACL suffered last year.
