Isaiah Bolden Injury Update: Patriots CB released from medical center after suffering on-field injury vs Packers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star John Wolford suffered a neck injury in a preseason game against the New York Jets and was carted off the field. The New England Patriots Isaiah Bolden injury was the second such incident during this preseason time.

The Patriots did not reveal the nature of Isaiah’s injury, albeit ESPN’s Mike Reiss later disclosed he actually suffered a concussion. This incident is coming after the NFL was subject to criticism as reportedly 149 concussions had been suffered in the NFL 2022 season, marking an 18% jump from the previous season.

Patriots CB Isaiah Bolden released from medical center avoiding major injury

In their official statement, the Patriots team said Bolden underwent a series of overnight evaluations at the Aurora Bay Medical Center and got released from the hospital without going through a serious injury. The team thanked the hospital as well as both teams’ medical staff for their instant on-field action.

“We thank the medical staff at Aurora Bay Medical Center for their overnight evaluations, as well as the Patriots and Packers medical staffs for their immediate on-field response and care in transporting Isaiah to a nearby hospital.”

One hour after New England’s statement, the 23-year-old conveyed his gratitude and expressed his excitement to head back to the field saying, “Appreciate the prayers, more excited to be back with the guys.”

The CB lay on the field with a serious injury after colliding with his fellow teammate Calvin Munson. The preseason game between the Packers and Patriots was called off after the Cornerback was carted off the field early in the fourth quarter.
