Elijah Moore injury update

The game between the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets was set up to be a close affair. Both teams were toughing it out on the pitch, with the Browns having their noses in front. However, what happened in the second quarter took everyone by surprise. Elijah Moore, the young WR for the Browns, was met with a dreadful tackle from behind, which led to the 23-year-old falling head-first on the ground.

The resulting collision was of such force that Moore could not get up by himself. Later on, things took a worse turn as he was seen convulsing involuntarily out on the pitch, something that scared his teammates and opponents alike.

Unfortunately, involuntary convulsions are a telltale sign of brain injuries, which take ages to recover from and even then run the risk of being aggravated at a later point in time. As the video of Moore’s injury made its rounds on social media, netizens expressed their concern over the incident.

One user commented, “How much longer can the NFL watch this happen on their fields and continue to deny the effects of brain injuries and CTE? How are they not facing hundreds of lawsuits?”

Doctors believe Elijah Moore in danger of brain injury

There have been a great deal of doctors who specialize in sporting injuries who have come out and confirmed that the injury suffered by Elijah Moore has the initial signs of a grave brain injury. Something that almost certainly rules out any possibility of him featuring any further this season.

Fortunately for the Browns faithful, Moore was eventually able to get up and walk off the field with some help from the trainers. He did not play any part in the game later on. For the Browns, Moore’s availability will be a concern in the games moving forward to the business end of the campaign. 2nd in the AFC North standings, the Cleveland Browns want all their players to be at the peak of their powers for one final push towards the playoffs.
