Quinton Rampage Jackson, one of the legends of mixed martial arts, both in PRIDE and UFC, is rumored to face Shannon Briggs in a boxing match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Jackson, now a co-host of the JAXXON podcast, is making waves in the podcasting world.
In a career spanning PRIDE, UFC, and Bellator MMA, Jackson has fought the likes of Fedor Emeliannenko, Jon Jones, Wanderlei Silva, and Chuck Liddell, among others. In the UFC, Rampage was a light heavyweight champion and defended the title once before losing to Forrest Griffin in a fight that won the UFC’s 2008 Fight of the Year award.
Rampage Jackson changed his retirement destination
Rampage Jackson, the former UFC light heavyweight champion, has a sense of humor and he has even gotten in trouble for it. Jackson was a celebrity in Japan when he was fighting in the Pride Championships, where he once challenged for the middleweight title.
Jackson had earlier said that his top 3 retirement destinations are Columbia, Japan, and Thailand. He liked Columbia for the food, which he finds very healthy. His love for Japan is due to his success fighting in MMA at Pride. Jackson has also acted in movies, and one of the movies took him to Thailand, which he liked very much.
However, Jackson recently tweeted about changing his answer. “I’ve now switched Thailand to Vietnam, those are my 3 pix as of now.”, tweeted Jackson who now has a change of heart and has removed Thailand from his retirement destination and added Vietnam in its place.
MMA community mocks Rampage Jackson’s new decision
Rampage Jackson recently tweeted about his retirement destination and the MMA fans did not let the tweet go unnoticed. Some of the fans agreed with Jackson’s assessment of picking retirement destinations. However, many found ways to troll Jackson for the tweet.
“Vietnam is choice! Affordable beautiful, great food and beautiful women (I married one!)”, commented one fan congratulating Jackson for picking Vietnam from where the fan incidentally married his wife.
“Bruh talking about food knowing it’s the women 🤣”, commented another fan who insinuated that what Jackson referenced about food was actually about women he had sex with during his visit to the country.
“You don’t like the lady boys in tailand ?”, commented yet another fan who made sensitive remark about the presence of Ladyboys in Thailand. Another fan also had a similar tweet where he said “Rampage had enough of those ladyboys”.
The fans let their thoughts flow in the comments section of Jackson’s tweet. Nevertheless, fans highly anticipated his return to combat sports against Shannon Briggs. Rampage Jackson last fought in December of 2019 in Bellator, losing to Fedor Emelianenko via TKO.
