Over the years, we’ve seen quite a lot of distressing and non-camera-friendly moments that have been captured by accident. However, this might take the biscuit in terms of how inappropriate it actually was.
In the world of college football, the audience is often as young as the players involved, which gives rise to moments like these on national television. While this Sugar Bowl clip reaches social media, let’s find out more about what exactly transpired.
Woman brings unconventional entertainment by flashing ESPN’s camera live
The Sugar Bowl is a pretty fun event in itself. We get to see some of the best rising talents in the world of college football go against each other, and the rivalry between their respective alma maters brings a touch of hostility to the proceedings. This year was no different. However, ESPN could’ve done without the sudden, “unconventional” entertainment on display.
The game between the Washington Huskies and the Texas Longhorns was quite an attritional affair in itself, ending in a closely contested 31-37 victory for the Huskies. However, the real entertainment was outside the stadium when the ESPN camera crew accidentally caught a woman flashing on camera.
The clip was actually shown while it was coming out of a commercial break. A group of people wandering on Bourbon Street in New Orleans was being shown when one woman turned around and exposed her breasts in what turned out to be quite a torrid two seconds for viewers across the country.
ESPN’s Bill Hoffheimer later came out to publicly apologize for the incident, saying, “We regret that this happened and apologize that the video aired in the telecast.”
Oklahoma player’s ‘Horns Down’ flash ups the action
One thing is for certain: Ethan Downs on the Sooners has nerves of steel. In the halftime show during the game between the Longhorns and Huskies, Downs made it pretty clear where his allegiances lay by throwing a “horns down” sign toward the crowd.
As expected, the sign caught the eyes of some spectators, who let him know how they felt for quite a long time during the halftime event. The crowd kept chanting “OU sucks” at Downs till the time he ran off the field while flashing a beaming smile towards the hostile and raucous bleachers.
