The Slovenian basketball legend Goran Dragic has decided to hang up his boots and call it a day. The 37-year-old has shown a desire to play a last match with the players he wants as his final farewell match.
The players that would be playing in the farewell match of Dragic are some of the biggest names in the world of basketball, including the likes of Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Steve Nash, and many more.

The farewell game of Slovenian basketball legend Goran Dragic is expected to take place on the 23rd and 24th of August. The location for the game is set to be hosted in the capital city of Slovenia, Ljubljana, during the summer. “I wanted to bring all the stars I played with,” said Dragic, expressing his desire to play a final farewell match with players of his choice. The players that the Slovenian icon named include some big stars in the NBA.
Mavericks star Luka Doncic, Nuggets ace Nikola Jokic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Heat’s star Jimmy Butler, Jeff Hornacek, Luis Scola, Kevin McHale, Steve Nash and Bucks ace Giannis Antetokounmpo are some of the big names, among others. His farewell match can be seen as a pseudo-All-Star game where the big names play together. Dragic played his last game last season on April 22, and since then he has been a free agent. After playing 15 seasons in the NBA, he decided to retire recently.

Goran Dragic has had a long NBA career in which he has had the opportunity to represent many teams. He has played for the Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns, Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Chicago Bulls. He has played a total of 946 games and has started in 530 of them. He has a career average of 13.3 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.0 rebounds, which describes him as a reliable player for his team.
During his career, Dragic received the NBA’s Most Improved Player award in 2014 and was named the NBA All-Star in 2018. However, the biggest win of his career was in 2017 at the FIBA EuroBasket, where he won the gold medal with the Slovenian national team and was named the MVP because of his exceptional performance.
