Mourinho’s long history of controversies includes clashes with referees for decisions against his teams, and the former United and Chelsea manager was at it again as Atalanta held Roma to a 1-1 draw, with Mourinho’s side enduring another disappointing outing in the Serie A.
Roma had gone behind in the game very early after Teun Koopmeiners gave Atalanta the lead in the eighth minute of the game. Roma then started dominating the game and finally won and converted a penalty through Paulo Dybala six minutes before half-time to draw level.
Jose Mourinho, who has recently debunked the rumors linking him with the Brazil national team job, received his first yellow card in the first half for directing his anger towards the match official. The former Chelsea manager got his second late in the second half and was sent off, which means he won’t be available for their next league game against AC Milan, which will be played at the San Siro stadium next Sunday.
