Scottie Pippen has cemented himself as one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game. He was the perfect wingman for the prime form of Michael Jordan as their duo dominated the entire league and no one was able to stop them. Recently, the NBA icon met with the future Hall of Famer LeBron James and the clip is going viral on social media.
A lot of netizens have left their interesting opinions on the post, while some of them are positive and some are not. The comments section looks like a debate where people are siding with MJ or Bron giving their opinions on the GOAT of the NBA. One fan commented, “Pippen knows the real goat,” talking in favor of Bron.
While another comment tried to troll both Pippen and Bron as it said, “Couple of guys who know what it’s like to be #2 to the GOAT.” Another comment directly took shots at the personal life of Scottie Pippen as it mentioned the relationship between Pippen’s ex-wife and Michael Jordan’s son. It said, “The mother of Scottie’s children is about to marry MJ’s son. It doesn’t get worse than that in life folks.”

NBA icon Scottie Pippen recently appeared on Stacey King’s Gimme The Hot Sauce podcast. During a segment in the episode, Pippen was asked about his thoughts on the GOAT debate and who he thinks is the GOAT in basketball. Given Pippen’s extensive list of personal and team achievements and his personal experience playing closely with MJ, his opinion was a very valuable take on the debate for many people.
However, Pippen’s statements may have hurt a lot of MJ fans as he cleverly sided with LeBron James. He reportedly said, “LeBron will be the greatest guy in terms of stats to ever play the game of basketball, there is no comparison to him. None. So does that prove him to be the greatest player ever? I will leave that up for debate as I do not believe there is a great player. After all, our game is a team game, and a single player can not do it.”
While it’s not the first time Scottie has sided with Brown and declared him the GOAT despite playing with Jordan, many people think it is Scottie’s bad relationship with MJ that drives him to side with Bron. Scottie and Michael fell out after they won their final championship, as the former felt he was living in his shadow and was heavily underpaid by the franchise for his work. Their relationship worsened after Jordan’s son started dating Pippen’s ex-wife which was a big shock for many people.
