Jorge Masvidal had signed a contract with the UFC in 2022 before facing Colby Covington at UFC 272. Masvidal’s management team member, Malki Kawa, didn’t disclose the whole contract details, but he surely told the fans about the pay Jorge was going to receive after the fights until the contract ended with them. Kawa stated, “His contract pays him like a champion and then some.”
Now for the Nate Diaz vs Jorge Masvidal rematch fight, Dana White’s UFC approval is required because, as per Kawa, “And the length of time will be that he will finish his career in the UFC.” So as per contract, Masvidal can’t fight outside the UFC unless he finishes his contracted fight with them.
