R-Truth, also known as Ronnie Aaron Killings, has been associated with ‘The Judgment Day’ several times. The wrestler has been a member of WWE since the WWF era in 1998 and was later rebranded as R-Truth in 2008 after a long gap.
Since his return to Survivor Series 2023, R-Truth has shown interest in being a member of ‘The Judgment Day.’ After his “Loser Leaves Judgment Day” match with JD McDonagh, Killings became an unofficial member of the faction. Both Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio shared their reactions on social media following that.
Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio react to new R-Truth merch
WWE recently released new merch of R-Truth in ‘The Judgment Day’ theme, which includes faction members like Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest. Killings now also sees himself as a member of their faction and will do whatever it takes to make it happen.
On January 11, 2024, WWEShop added two new pieces of merchandise to their collection. The first one includes all Judgment Day members’ names, including R-Truth’s. The second merch features the faces of all four members, along with Truth’s face printed on the T-shirt. Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio shared their reactions on their Twitter accounts after the merchandise became available.
Dominik Mysterio posted his reaction first, one hour prior to Rhea’s post. In the post, Dirty Dom teased JD McDonagh who lost the match to R-Truth in a “Loser Leaves Judgment Day” bout.
The current Women’s World Champion posted her reaction on Twitter/X after the new merch was released. Rhea posted a GIF, featuring Simon Cowell of the ‘Got Talent’ show, which expressed her shock at WWE’s decision. Before that Mami said in “WWE 2024 Preview Special” about R-Truth’s status as a Judgement Day member.
She said, “You know, I’ve had it up to here with Truth, I really have. He’s not in The Judgment Day. We’re not looking at Truth right now, and he’s trying to weasel his way in. He’s breaking into our clubhouse. That’s not okay. You can’t just break into our clubhouse. He’s putting himself into all of the things that we’re working so hard for.”
“He’s coming up to the Judgment Day music. To me, he thinks he’s a part of it, but we have never signed off on that. We have not discussed this. We have not come to an agreement that Truth is in ‘The Judgment Day’. So far, he is not. Sorry, everyone.”
R-Truth teams up with the Miz to face the Judgment Day duo
In the Day-1 episode of Monday Night RAW, a tag team match was scheduled featuring R-Truth and The Miz, known as Awesome Truth, facing Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh and ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio. The duo secured the victory after Miz delivered a ‘Skull-Crushing Finale’ to McDonagh and pinned for the win.
The Judgment Day, founded by Edge at WrestleMania 38, has proven itself as the greatest villainous group in the Red brand. The team’s most memorable rivalry was between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. With 4 main members, including Finn BĂĄlor and Damian Priest, the current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, and Priest holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, the faction has proven to be the most dominant in WWE.
R-Truth and Miz, will be in action again on the upcoming episode of RAW. They are set to face the team of Damian Priest and Finn Balor, determining the fate of the team within their faction. Fans are excited about the unofficial return of Awesome Truth and hope to see both men win against Judgement Day in their upcoming match on Monday.
