Jim Miller, at the age of 40, is still unstoppable and not going to easily give up on his dream to become the champion. In 55 MMA fights, having 37 wins, Miller’s professional MMA career has been a roller coaster ride.

Despite missing many chances of getting on the list of the next championship contender, Jim stayed on his UFC path. He has been with the UFC for over 15 years, having joined in 2008 and already holding the majority of the bout records.

At UFC Vegas 84, where Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker were set to feature the main event, one more fighter was going to record another victory to his name. Jim Miller was supposed to be facing Gabriel Benitez in the lightweight bout, and once again, Miller showed why his experience in the MMA cage still plays a big factor for his opponent.

At round no. 3, ‘A-10’ secured submission face crank on Benitez, and it only took some seconds to stop the fight and declare the clear winner.

Now Jim Miller has 26 victories in just the UFC, which is the most by any fighter. And not just this, he also received his career’s 15th performance of the night bonus.

Miller surpassed former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva on the all-time list, and now he is tied with Joe Lauzon for the most bonuses in UFC history. UFC Vegas 84’s co-main event performance was so impressive that even the UFC CEO couldn’t stop himself from applauding.

UFC president Dana White finally got some time from his busy schedule of arranging new bouts for the upcoming UFC 300 main event. Now was the time for Dana to respond to one of the oldest clients’ performances, which set a new record for his company.

White was impressed with the victory of the 40-year-old and praised Miller for his record of 4-1 in his past 5 fights and getting his last 8 victories without any judges’ scoring involvement.

Dana White tweeted, “Miller is 4-1 in his last 5 and has finished his last 8 wins inside the distance, and he’s 40 years old! #UFCVegas84.”

After this remarkable performance, fans can expect to see the UFC pushing Miller for another run for the lightweight championship bout. Though Jim Miller has lots of work to do, as Dana White only mentioned the past 5 fights of Jim, this can be a great opportunity in Miller’s career.
