Father of three, Lionel Messi consoles heartbroken kids of opponent player in viral footage

Lionel Messi’s arrival has brought the Inter Miami team a transformative impact. Messi, being the leader of the park, has taken the underdogs to their rightful place in the Major League Soccer. The club has not only won its first trophy in history, but they are also in the second Cup final of the season.

Demonstrating much more than his incredible soccer prowess, Leo, the amiable father of three, has also revealed his humane side as he consoled the fans on the other side after he registered yet another victory in the MLS.

Lionel Messi consoles Luciano Acosta’s kids following PK drama

Lionel Messi, a great soccer player and an enviable leader, is leaving no stone unturned. After the 36-year-old World Cup winner and a father of three delivered yet another heartwarming masterclass for Inter Miami in the US Open Cup victory over Cincinnati, he went ahead to console the victims of his ‘admirable terror’.

Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates faced a challenging situation, falling behind 2-0 before the 60-minute mark. Cincinnati’s captain Acosta and Brandon Vazquez managed to find the net, securing goals for the Eastern Conference leaders.

It turned out all they needed was some Messi magic. The moment he switched it on, he couldn’t stop till an equaliser was complete. He delivered two beautifully weighted balls, one from a set piece and the other from open play to Campana, who guided both passes to the back of the net with a header.

Following the match, a video circulated on social media depicting Messi encountering Acosta, a fellow player hailing from Rosario, along with Acosta’s son. Upon noticing Acosta’s son’s disappointment, the Miami star extended his compassion and consoled the young fan.

Messi’s Inter Miami book second cup final on the trot

Inter Miami was a sinking ship before the arrival of Lionel Messi. The club was not only at the bottom of the Major League Soccer table but had also never won any major trophies in their history. Inter Miami had gone on a straight eleven-game losing streak before Messi joined the club.

But since the Argentine World Cup and 7-time Ballon d’Or winner made his sensational debut for the club, he has led Inter Miami to eight wins in eight games, with the recent victory over Cincinnati firing Inter Miami into the US Open Cup finals. In all campaigns for Inter Miami, Lionel Messi has scored ten goals and assisted three in this unbeaten run.

In that eventful match against Cincinnati in the US Open Cup, Lionel Messi displayed both his human and superhuman sides, as he had little or no input in the first 70 minutes of the match – he had a relatively uneventful presence. However, he then went on to assist in Miami’s first goal and remarkably followed it up with an assist for their second goal in the 97th minute, leading Miami on to their second cup final.

In addition to his jaw-dropping MLS record, Lionel Messi has already won a trophy (the League Cup) and six Man Of The Match wards. He’s currently the League Cup’s best player and top scorer. What’s mind-blowing is that after just seven matches, Messi now stands as the club’s third top goal scorer of all time. He’s only 19 goals behind Gonzalo Higuain, and remember, he hasn’t even made an appearance in a Major League Soccer match yet!

He notched up his 10th goal in only seven matches with the club, sealing a victory against Nashville last in the Leagues Cup championship final. The recent Leagues Cup championship win marked a significant milestone – it’s actually the first time Inter Miami has clinched any trophy. This triumph also put the finishing touches on a remarkable turnaround for the team that was once considered the weakest link in Major League Soccer.
