Who is going to train Anthony Joshua for Francis Ngannou fight?

Anthony Joshua is all set to headline another significant event against one of the prominent heavyweights in combat sports. The fight is scheduled for March 8th this year, following AJ’s victory against Otto Wallins.

After getting confirmation for the fight against Francis Ngannou, Joshua will need special training to stop one of the best knockout artists. AJ, once the WBA champion, has received many calls to train under Anthony, but Anthony doesn’t look to make a big change in his strategy.

Anthony Joshua sticks with Ben Davison for the Francis Ngannou fight

The former WBA heavyweight champion has decided he will bring the same intensity to his training as he did for Otto Wallin in the last month of 2023. Last year, Joshua successfully secured two victories against Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius, but before the year ended, AJ brought a huge change to his training camp.

The 34-year-old appointed Tyson Fury’s ex-coach to be his trainer to fight Wallin, which also worked for him as he secured the win via doctor stoppage. AJ dominated Otto till the end of round 5 of the 12 rounds of fighting.

Now AJ is thinking of keeping Fury’s former coach, Ben Davidson, so he can bring some valuable insights like Fury to compete against Francis Ngannou. Ben supported Tyson in his comeback reign in 2020 when the WBC champion was looking to knockout Deontay Wilder in their second match-up.

Ngannou is also sticking to his same approach as last time he did against Tyson’s fight. Also, once again, “The Predator” is looking to appoint Mike Tyson to his training camp to give valuable insights.

Anthony Joshua calls Francis Ngannou his “undisputed title fight”

With the fight already making headlines, the most pressing question in the combat sports community is whether these results will pave the way for something more significant. Joshua has provided an answer in his own style, expressing that Ngannou is a formidable competitor and won’t offer an easy win. If the outcome favors Joshua, he believes it will undoubtedly present an opportunity to once again vie for boxing gold.

“There is. But right now, no lives matter. See, it’s a straight war. I’ll be real with you. It’s war. There’s no friend at war. I respect the guy, that he’s done well, and all that good stuff. But we’re fighting, and I have to get my mind in shape for what’s about to happen,” Joshua said during MMA hour.
