Toto Wolff vows to beat Red Bull with Lewis Hamilton
Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff had always had an unwavering belief in the team despite struggling two seasons consistently for mechanical failures and lack of adaptability. Lewis Hamilton, a reigning seven time title wining Champion had failed to show his dominance on the grid, while on the other side his teammate, George Russell, despite encountering with numerous problems, has resurfaced with one victory at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix in 2022.
Being the main source of guidance for the team, Toto Wolff was held accountable for the significant drawbacks of the team. However, the 52 years old is confidence to have a strong comeback this season, along with a polished and improved W15 in the paddock and his lifelong pillar, Lewis Hamilton. He said “We are changing the concept. We are completely moving away from how we laid out the chassis, the weight distribution, the airflow. I mean, literally, there’s almost every component that’s being changed because only by doing that, I think we have a chance.”
Toto Wolff extends his contract with Mercedes through 2026
Toto Wolff has been the greatest supporter of both Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton. His complete devotion to the team has still not been diminished with the team boss planning the strategies for a major comeback this season.To make his dream of Lewis Hamilton clinching the eight title of Champion, Wolff has to stay at the team.
Therefore, he decided of giving his utmost effort to the team and stay with it till th every last by extending his contract until 2026. Upon the renewal of the contract, he said, “I’m staying at Mercedes to beat Red Bull with Lewis Hamilton. Those who have driven in the simulator have told us that the 2024 car [W15] doesn’t look like the car of the last two years. If we give Hamilton a good car that he can rely on, he can get back in front of everyone.”
