Aaron Rodgers pokes fun at Travis Kelce in lighthearted vaccine ad banter

Among all the Week 4 games, the New York Jets vs. the Kansas City Chiefs was the most highlighted one, as in the gallery there was Aaron Rodgers after three weeks of meeting a season-ending injury on the MetLife Stadium. At the meetup, Travis Kelce and Co. were able to pocket Rodgers-less Jets in a nail-biting excitement.

However, being in the gallery A-Rod noticed many things as a Jets fan that he recently revealed and also made sure to make fun of Kelce by giving him a funny surname because of one of his actions for which Aaron was rightfully condemned during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aaron Rodgers pokes fun at Travis Kelce

On his recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Aaron Rodgers shared his experience and some scrutiny on the Jets vs. Cheifs play that occurred on Sunday night. Rodgers believes that his gang played physically and morally as they dealt well with the defending Super Bowl Champion.

Referring to Travis Kelce as “Mr. Pfizer”, Aaron noted that amid all the plays made by the Jets, one that particularly struck A-rod was how the defense responded to contain Travis. The hilarious last name was primarily inspired by Kelce’s collaboration with Pfizer, which strives to promote vaccination and inform the public about the value of becoming immunized against the virus.

The four-time MVP stated on the program that Patrick Mahomes, the top quarterback for the Chiefs, was unable to dazzle him with an impressive performance.

“There’s some sentiment that there’s some sort of moral victory out there, that we hung with the champs. Our defense played well and Pat didn’t have a crazy game, and Mr. Pfizer, we kind of shut him down a little bit. He didn’t have his crazy impact game.”

Not only the defense but also the offense of the Jets saw a strong comeback that night, especially from their offense hero Zach Wilson. Although, Wilson’s failed “flea flicker” attempt left the 39-year-old disappointed.

Why does Aaron Rodgers remain unvaccinated?

The former Green Bay Packers star was one NFL player who did not appear to be particularly concerned with the horrible outcome of the pandemic while the entire country was shaking from the COVID-19 virus.

He claimed to be “immunized” against the COVID-19 virus at the time, but after testing positive for the virus and being found to be an unvaccinated player, he quickly discovered himself in the center of a heated dispute.

“I’d been ready the entire time for this question and had thought about how I wanted to answer it. And I had come to the conclusion I’m gonna say, ‘I’ve been immunized.’ And if there’s a follow-up, then talk about my process. But, [I] thought there’s a possibility that I say ‘I’m immunized,’ maybe they understand what that means, maybe they don’t. Maybe they follow up. They didn’t follow up. So then I go the season [with] them thinking, some of them, that I was vaccinated”, Aaron Rodgers said during the pandemic.

The former Super Bowl champion later provided an explanation for his decision to forgo vaccination. The cause was that he found out he was allergic to one of the vaccine’s components. Rodgers’ isolation after being attacked with COVID-19 in 2021 forced him to miss his team’s game versus Mahomes.

The NFL community has not yet seen a face-to-face match between Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. Do you think it will ever happen?
