Aaron Rodgers reportedly reuniting with Davante Adams with his possible injury return date revealed

Aaron Rodgers served the Green Bay Packers for almost two decades and even earned a Super Bowl with them. One of his key weapons on the offensive side was his wide receiver, Davante Adams. Besides their on-field bond, the duo also used to share a friendly relationship outside of gridiron as well.

However, Rodgers is now a member of the New York Jets and Adams has also bid adieu to the Packers to don the Las Vegas Raiders jersey. Though Adams has been able to play his role on the Raiders’ O-line, A-Rod is still rehabbing from his season-ending injury. Meanwhile, a potential reunion of the QB and WR duo has been swirling on the air lately.

Is Aaron Rodgers reuniting with Davante Adams?

Days ago, Rodgers and Adams had a heartfelt reunion ahead of the Jets vs Raiders clash. The signal-caller proceeded all the way to the sideline to have a friendly hug with the receiver with whom he spent seven seasons in Green Bay.

Now, Adam Schefter of ESPN revealed he heard via a source that the Jets are going to pursue a trade for Adams to let him reunite with A-Rod as a Gang Green member.

“That will happen. I think so,” Schefter wrote via ESPN.

However, the source also revealed that the Raiders’ decision to trade the WR might depend on how their season ends up. If the team can continue to move in the right direction with wins, the receiver himself might want to stay with the Raiders as he earlier said he didn’t regret signing with the franchise.

The Jets initially inquired about reuniting Adams with Rodgers before the Oct. 31 deadline. Though the Raiders didn’t shy away from sacking head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler amid the regular season, they were vehemently indifferent to part ways with Adams. ESPN reported there “was no chance in hell” that the team would trade the receiver.

The Jets, hence, were “quickly rebuffed” following their initial proposal. Nevertheless, a failed attempt might not halt them from making another move for acquiring the six-time Pro Bowler. Meanwhile, though Adams has been seen happy with his team lately following back-to-back wins, he was clearly frustrated with his role on the field, and the Jets can also took a chance to lure him into a greater role on their offense.

Aaron Rodgers possible injury return date revealed

A week ago, Melissa Stark of NBC Sports reported Rodgers was targeting a mid-December return date, albeit the veteran debunked the rumor during his regular appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” a day later. The four-time MVP said the mid-December comeback was nothing but a rumor and that nothing about the exact timeline of his return has been set in stone.

“There’s no set date. It could change. If I have a great week this week and next week, that could be accelerated. If we are not in it in three or four weeks, that could take it a different way, but I expect us to be in it and I expect to come back, so that’s about all I can tell you at this point,” he said via Sporting News.

Now, once again another time frame of the signal-caller’s return has been circulated by Jay Glazer of Fox Sports. Jay revealed A-Rod sent a video to Gang Green this week of him working out which “blew their minds”. He has already showcased noticeable improvement by walking without crutches, and even throwing balls perfectly.

The source also revealed Rodgers shared with the team about his plan to start practicing as early as Dec. 2.

Meanwhile, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on Nov. 19 that the 10-time Pro Bowler is going to return to the action in the Jets Week 16 game against the Washington Commanders.
