AEW World Champion MJF reveals why Rosie O’Donnell owes him money after his mother’s decision

MJF, aka Maxwell Jacob Friedman, is one of the most prominent rising stars in AEW. He is the current AEW World Champion. He is also the AEW Dynamite Diamond ring holder for the fourth time in a row. He is a prominent heel persona in the AEW roster and has been awarded the Most Hated Wrestler award twice.

However, the young wrestler has a complaint against famous comedian Rosie O’Donnell as she has owed him money for more than two decades now.

MJF explains why Rosie O’Donnell owes him money

AEW superstar MJF, aka Maxwell Jacob Friedman, has recently expressed his very old grudge against Rosie O’Donnell and he still seems to be frustrated at the legendary television comedian and host.

Even before debuting in AEW, Maxwell had once appeared on television during his childhood. He appeared on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” in 2001 for his mother, who sent a recorded clip of him singing to Rosie. During the show, Rosie asked kid Maxwell about his aim in life, to which he replied that he wanted to be an opera singer and a wrestler. The AEW World Champion even sang in the show, but he wasn’t paid for that. Even after 22 years, Rosie has still not paid him a penny, and he is not happy with that fact.

Today, while speaking with “CBS New York”, MJF aka The Salt of the Earth expressed his anger for Rosie O’Donnell about his payment of his appearance on her show.

“Here’s the deal. Very traumatic day for me. Rosie O’Donnell is a horrible person. I gave her a very fair, flat fee. To this day she owes me money. To this day. After I sang that well on her show. Still waiting for my check,” said MJF.

Kris Statlander thanks MJF

Last week at the AEW Rampage, Female superstar Kris Statlander retained her TBS Championship title against Jade Cargill. She again defended her title on Saturday’s AEW Collision against Brit Baker.

Kris Statlander’s AEW journey was not that easy, She went through a lot of struggle to make a name for herself in the promotion. She defeated Jade Cargill at “Double or Nothing” to win the TBS Championship title.

Statlander recently appeared on Under the Ring, and she said that MJF did a lot to help her out in terms of getting to AEW. The TBS Champion also mentioned that Maxwell was among those who recommended her for a spot in AEW.

“I know that I had some people recommend me and looking out for me, I hate to give him credit but I know MJF was probably the biggest one. So I do have a lot to owe him, unfortunately, but he’s been there a lot for me as a friend,” said Kris.
