After a thrilling triple-threat matchup at WWE NXT, Becky Lynch gets her next opponent for title defense at Halloween Havoc

Becky Lynch has been a phenomenal wrestler throughout her career in the WWE. She has been a one-time WWE Raw Women’s Champion and a four-time WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion. She didn’t only achieve such feats on the main roster; she also proved herself even in NXT. At present, Becky is the current NXT Women’s Champion.

However, despite defending her title at the NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event, The Man has already booked her next opponent, who will take a shot at her title at the upcoming Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event.

The triple-threat matchup on NXT for number-one contender

On the latest episode of NXT, Roxanne Perez, Indi Hartwell, and Lyra Valkyria participated in a triple threat match to become the number one contender for fighting with Becky Lynch at Halloween Havoc. The winner would get a shot at The Man’s NXT Women’s Championship title.

The match started with a series of very intense moves. Lyra and Perez delivered a two-on-one vertical suplex to Hartwell. After the suplex, Indi performed two consecutive powerbombs on both Valkyria and Perez.

The match took a dramatic turn when Lyra started to hit both Indi and Roxanne. Lyra even delivered a missile dropkick to Indi Hartwell. Indi then took out Lyra with a big boot. In the climax of the match, Roxanne Perez hit Hartwell with the Pop Rocks and during that time, James infered in the match. These gave Lyra an opening to deliver a jumping blow and thus she secured her win.

During the whole match, Becky Lynch was at the commentary table and watched the three stars perform for the shot.

Becky Lynch’s next opponent

On October 24 at Halloween Havoc, Becky Lynch, aka The Man, will defend her NXT Women’s Championship title against Lyra Valkyria. Lyra became the number-one contender after winning a triple-threat match against Roxanne Perez and Indi Hartwell on the last episode of NXT.

Despite still recovering from an injured arm, The Man came to NXT this week just to determine her opponent for the Halloween Havoc, which resulted in a triple threat match to determine the number one contender.

However, there is still one opponent left for Becky to compete against before Halloween Havoc. She will have to defend her title against Tegan Nox in next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. This match was supposed to happen in Raw just after No Mercy but got rescheduled due to Becky’s injury.
