After declaring KO victory over Nate Diaz, Jake Paul loses $1000 boxing ‘striking challenge’ to UFC star Bo Nickal

Jake Paul recently took on a distinctive boxing challenge against Bo Nickal. The boxing sensation, also known as ‘The Problem Child’ is scheduled to make his return to the ring this Saturday night on pay-per-view. This marks his first fight since his defeat against Tommy Fury in February. In his much-anticipated comeback, he will go head-to-head with former UFC star Nate Diaz in a highly anticipated and high-profile showdown.

Paul has been diligently documenting his training camp on his YouTube channel. Despite his busy schedule, he managed to find time to collaborate with UFC middleweight prospect Bo Nickal, a former NCAA wrestling champion highly regarded as one of MMA’s top prospects.

Interestingly, Nickal has become one of the prominent figures in Jake Paul’s BETR brand. He now has his own YouTube channel and series under the brand’s umbrella. In a recent episode, the dynamic duo engaged in a fascinating striking challenge, showcasing their skills and camaraderie.

During a recent podcast episode, Jake Paul found himself in a boxing skills challenge against UFC star Bo Nickal, and the stakes were set at $1,000 for charity. The challenge involved using a reflex ball, a tennis ball attached to a string tied to one’s head, to enhance hand-eye coordination. Both Paul and Nickal acknowledged that this game wasn’t necessarily reflective of their true boxing abilities, but they still embraced the challenge.

Their task was to land as many punches as possible before the ball dropped, similar to keep-ups in football. Nickal achieved eight successful hits before being eliminated, leaving Paul to take his turn without knowing the exact score to beat. In a moment of suspense, Paul managed to land six punches, but he remained uncertain if it was enough to win the challenge.

Jake Paul claims a knockout victory over Nate Diaz

Jake Paul, the renowned YouTuber star, adopted boxing as a relatively new interest just five years ago, which has now become a pivotal aspect of his divisive public persona. In an advantageous turn of events, Paul’s upcoming opponent, former UFC fighter Nate Diaz, is a newcomer to the world of boxing.

Diaz’s limited experience in the sport has emboldened Paul to confidently promise a win in their 10-round professional bout scheduled for August 5 in Dallas—marking Nate’s debut in the boxing realm.

“I’m going to let my actions do the talking,” Paul said in an interview with TMZ. “When he gets in there with me, and he sees my speed, my power, my skill, and he can’t hit me, that is going to frustrate him … There’s a difference between a UFC champion and a boxer, a very skilled boxer in myself. My fists are going to do all the talking.”

Following his first career loss to Tommy Fury by split decision in Saudi Arabia on Feb. 26, Paul is determined to turn the setback into motivation for his upcoming bout against Diaz. He has expressed his intention to use the experience as fuel to come back stronger and more resolute in the ring.
