After the successful merger with the UFC on September 12, WWE is now on a new path. Changes started with the firing of several employees at once and are still ongoing, with Vince McMahon getting a new role.

Among all these changes, the one that has surprised the WWE Universe is the change in the behavior of Mr. McMahon. The prideful founder of WWE has recognized TKO CEO Ari Emanuel as his boss.

After a successful merger between WWE and UFC, hundreds of WWE employees were fired to save on the cost of the new TKO Group Holdings. This sudden workforce reduction has made headlines recently, and WWE fans were disappointed with it. 

After completing this controversial termination task, TKO CEO Ari Emanuel, WWE President Nick Khan, Vince McMahon, and Triple H led a staff meeting today at WWE headquarters in Stamford. The full details of the meeting are yet to be known but it was confirmed that the layoffs were addressed as a necessary initiative taken by WWE.

According to some reports, Vince McMahon said that WWE had been in a stagnant position, which compelled the promotion to seek out a merger to maintain itself in the industry. This statement was overruled by several employees present in the meeting. Some employees then highlighted WWE’s record-breaking financial numbers. The salt on the wound of employees was applied when Vince McMahon referred to Ari Emanuel as his new boss following the merger.

Emanuel also mentioned that his daughter Ashlee has been working as a creative assistant for WWE.

McMahon steps back after a successful run

Vince McMahon, the founder of WWE has worked very hard for the growth of the company over the decades. He has transformed the company from a regional business organization into a global multimillion-dollar sensation. Mr. McMahon has been CEO and Chairman of WWE for nearly 40 years. But the legendary promoter has stepped down from the position after the merger of WWE and UFC.

Although right now Vince might not be the Chairman of the promotion, he has been made the Executive Chairman of TKO Group Holdings. Vince McMahon will continue to make his presence known within the WWE with his new role. Although his son-in-law, Triple H, is no longer a board member of WWE, However, Vince is still a board member of the company even after the merger.
