WWE superstars The Miz and LA Knight have been feuding for a couple of weeks now. This week, however, Knight caused Miz to lose a relatively easy match that further added to the humiliation of the WWE A-Lister, which also broke an unfortunate streak for another superstar on RAW.
LA Knight is a huge superstar currently and is immensely popular among the fans. He even dethroned Roman Reigns and The Bloodline to have the highest merchandise sales in WWE. Knight’s rise in popularity has seen him cross paths with multiple high-profile superstars such as Logan Paul and even The Miz over the past couple of weeks.
Fans speculate The Miz vs. LA Knight matchup at Payback
With LA Knight and Miz continuing their rivalry on RAW, it looks like their feud could be settled at Payback. Knight is usually a SmackDown superstar, and many fans were thrilled when he showed up on Monday night to kickstart a rivalry with The A-Lister.
The Miz was visibly upset with WWE’s production team for giving preferential treatment to LA Knight. The two superstars had also engaged in a memorable war of words on RAW. They even cost each other a match on their respective shows.
Miz fired shots at Knight first, calling him a knock-off of himself without any of his accolades. Knight fired back, calling him a ‘safe bet’ and saying that The A-Lister would take anything thrown at him, including being kicked out of the locker room, which he pointed out is something that will never happen to someone like him.
The Miz suffers a humiliating loss at RAW
The Miz is one of the best technical wrestlers in WWE who is particularly remembered for bringing back prestige to the Intercontinental Championship during his 2016 run and his memorable rivalry with Dolph Ziggler. However, things haven’t been going the A-Lister’s way for a while, as he has been on a losing streak for a long time. On RAW this week, Miz suffered another loss that broke the losing streak of another superstar.
The Miz was scheduled to face Akira Tozawa in a singles bout this week on RAW. Unknown to many fans, Tozawa has suffered a losing streak of over 3 years on WWE Television, a record that was broken in his match with Miz. He was handpicked by The Miz, who was hoping to pick up an easy win against the Japanese wrestler.
However, things quickly went horribly wrong for The A-Lister. He was so focused on LA Knight, who was sitting at the commentary table, that while setting up The Skull Crushing Finale, he instead got rolled up by Tozawa for the three-count. This served as a humiliating loss for The Miz, while Akira Toazawa picked up his first singles win in years.
