In an interview with a local radio station, Jonathan Kuminga could not help but sing the praises of his of his teammate, Stephen Curry, painting him as a paragon of excellence on and off the basketball court. The young man continued by saying that Curry’s character is unchanging, no matter the circumstances.
Kuminga put it best: ‘Steph Curry is like this one human being who is perfect… literally like perfect.’ Whether at home, in the weight room, on the basketball court, or in practice, Curry’s demeanor is always the same,” he said. Kuminga emphasized that Curry is a parent first and foremost, and that this fact informs how he acts in every circumstance.
“He comes to the gym-he’s a parent first. He comes to the gym, the same way he act at home, same way he act on the floor, same way he act at a practice. He don’t get into any problem. He speak to everybody.” Kuminga added.
Kuminga shed light on the attributes that are frequently concealed from public view, going beyond Curry’s impressive on-court achievements. He explained that Curry’s personality is more than just ‘some guy who hits threes’; rather, ‘He’s [Curry] gonna start a conversation even if you don’t want to. Kuminga added, ‘He is the best human being I’ve ever really been around.’ Not only was Stephen Curry an exceptional basketball player in Kuminga’s eyes, but he was also the nicest person he had ever met. He admitted that playing with Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green—all of whom will be inducted into the Hall of Fame—had a significant impact on his game and motivated him to adopt Curry’s unmatched off-court approach.
