AJ Styles eager to ‘move on’ from WrestleMania 35 bout against Randy Orton

‘The Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles is scheduled to fight ‘The Megastar’ LA Knight at WrestleMania 40 to conclude their rivalry that started on the January 23 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

The master of ‘Phenomenal Forearm’ recently appeared in an interview, where he reminisced about his WrestleMania 35 bout against ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton. The match pissed off both WWE stars as technical difficulties forced them to fight at a subpar level, which AJ hopes to never experience again.

AJ Styles wants to forget about his from WM 35 Randy Orton clash

AJ Styles has been in the wrestling industry for 25 years and 8 years span his WWE career. One of the most underrated matches of AJ includes him clashing against Randy Orton at WM 35. AJ Styles recently appeared on Fanatics Live Stream on Xavier Woods’ UpUpDownDown YouTube Channel, where he shared his candid thoughts about the 2019 event.

“That’s definitely one to forget because the lights were blinding people. We were supposed to go two or one, and then, of course, Brock [Brock Lesnar] gets to do anything he wants, so he switched it. By the time we went out there, the lights had come on and blinded half the stadium. I was pissed. You know who was even more pissed than me? Randy [Randy Orton]. I knew I didn’t have to get mad if Randy was mad”, said AJ Styles.

Although the WrestleMania 35 match failed miserably due to the lighting setup, WWE fans hope to see a legendary fight between LA Knight and AJ Styles, giving it their all without any distractions at the April 2024 event, and are eager to see their favorite superstar win.

Randy Orton allegedly was ‘pissed’ with his WrestleMania 35 bout

The WrestleMania 35 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, pissed ‘The Apex Predator’ during his fight with AJ Styles. The Viper took to Instagram and apologized to his fans on behalf of WWE, as the lighting in the stadium caused most of the people to miss the match.

Randy Orton wrote on Instagram, “For the live crowd that saw this 👆🏼tonight during my match at #WM #wrestlemania at Met Life Stadium tonight, I would like to apologize on behalf of @WWE for screwing up and shining a bright light in your eyes for 95% of our match. You missed a really great fucking match.”

Although most of the fans were unable to enjoy the match, the rest of the event went smoothly compared to the said match. WWE officials also apologized to fans for failing to provide their best at the event. Now, after 5 years, WWE has evolved into a new era, as after merging with UFC, they have even higher standards than before. Fans aspire to experience the best WrestleMania this year, and WWE has taken the necessary steps to ensure that it happens.
