Anthony Joshua, after reaching the maximum height of his boxing empire, doesn’t need to prove how dedicated he is to his sport despite facing losses. Recently, in the same context, AJ opened up about how he never ducks any of the offered fights.
AJ is on the verge of becoming boxing champion once again since losing his boxing pride in 2021. Having suffered three career losses hasn’t affected the mindset of the former boxing champion. The hunger is still there for Anthony Joshua to once again become the champion.
Anthony Joshua claims he’s always ready to fight
Joshua’s last three fight wins in a row last year are already an indication that he is not affected by the losses he received in 2021 and 2022 against Oleksandr Usyk. Anthony Joshua is still motivated to fight anyone.
In a recent interview, Joshua opened up about his availability in boxing and also mentioned the probable fighters he is going to take on after March 8th night. This time, the former boxing champion gave a serious warning to critics not to overlook him in any of his fights anymore.
While talking to SkySports, AJ shared his plans. “You know what it proved to me: I’ve signed to fight Fury, I’ve signed to fight Wilder, and I’ve signed to fight a lot of people. I just do good business. I’m a good prizefighter; I don’t duck a challenge,” Joshua said. “I’m always up for it. I just feel to myself that I’ll always be here and ready to fight any time.”
Joshua talked about the possibility of watching him against Deontay Wilder. “It’s a fight that fans want to see,” he continued. “I’m not saying it’s completely written off. It’s a fight where everything was signed and sealed. It just needed both of us to deliver. And he didn’t meet his end of the bargain.”
Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua were in a contract where they both were supposed to win their fight on December 23, 2023. Where AJ delivered according to the contract, Wilder failed to deliver the victory on the same night.
