The richest man in the UK will oversee the football aspect of the club, and this has seen some players linked with a move to Old Trafford, including Atleti’s Antoine Griezmann.
Antoine Griezmann has been in top form since rejoining Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2021. Last season, the former Real Sociedad man registered 16 goals and 16 assists in all competitions, making him one of the most important players in the squad.
His form has continued into this season, which earned him interest from Manchester United, who continue to struggle in attack this season. However, despite the interest from the Red Devils, Griezmann has confirmed his allegiance to his dear club, claiming he wants to deliver trophies to the fans and earn a place among the legends of the club.

Griezmann had his best year as a professional soccer player in 2018. After claiming the Europa League with Atletico Madrid, the versatile forward went on to win the FIFA World Cup with France over Luka Modric’s Croatia in the final of the tournament.
This was a great year for Griezmann, who continued to show the world why he was regarded as one of the best players in the world. His efforts in 2018 earned him a nomination in the final three for the Ballon d’Or award, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric also in the running.
Surprisingly, the award was given to Luka Modric, whose country was the runner-up in the 2018 World Cup. The Croatian midfielder also won the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid. Modric’s triumph meant that it was the first time neither Ronaldo nor Messi had won the Ballon d’Or in 10 years.
