Aston Martin’s F1 team is confident about challenging for F1 title

Team Principal Mike Krack claims that since the conclusion of the 2024 Grand Prix, he has not rested for even a moment and instead has been arranging for a strong comeback with the help of his technical team and main drivers. For Aston Martin, this could be an incredible opportunity to increase the pace of their car and put in maximum effort to outperform McLaren as they navigate through the 2024 season.

When asked about the progress of their team, Mike commented, “I mean, the off-season is becoming shorter and shorter. We have tried to focus on all areas of our predecessor, the AMR23, which had a great season full of positives last year. But then we have not left any stone unturned.”

“We have really tried to look at every area, be it the car, be it the operations, be it reliability, to make a step forward in all our operations. So it has been very intense over the couple of months since the finish of the season, and we hope we have done enough and we will show we will have a strong contender,” Krack further added.

Dan Fallows, the technical director of the team provided backing to Mike by underscoring the specific details regrading the team’s development by stating, “Mike says, very, very short since the end of the season. But we have managed to make a step up from last year’s car. And we’re very pleased with what we’ve been able to achieve.”

There have been numerous speculations about the uncertainty of Fernando Alonso’s stay at Aston Martin. With the transfer of Hamilton to Ferrari, it is often rumoured that Alonso will most likely be offered the vacant Mercedes seat, being the most experienced driver on the grid currently.

However, the Spanish driver has clearly dismissed the wild speculations by expressing his loyalty to the team. Fernando said, “I’m probably the only champion available for ’25, so I have a good position. At the same time, when I make the decision if I want to keep racing or not for the future, the first and only talk that I will have at the beginning is with Aston Martin, because this will be my only priority.”
