WWE female superstar Asuka is considered one of the best female professional wrestlers of the new generation in WWE. On the latest episode of WWE NXT, a triple threat match happened between Indi Hartwell, Lyra Valkyria, and Roxanne Perez to become the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship in the upcoming Halloween Havoc.
The match was very intense, as three of the most prominent female superstars on the NXT roster were competing. During the match, Roxanne Perez was very near to victory as she was going to successfully pin Hartwell until she got interrupted by Kiana James. Lyra Valkyria took the opportunity during the whole fiasco caused by James and secured her victory.

In a backstage segment, Kiana James explained why she interrupted Perez and she also stated that if Roxanne Perez wants a match against her, she will have to face the former WWE Women’s Champion Asuka in next week’s episode of NXT.
When was Asuka NXT champion?
WWE female superstar Asuka has the longest reign as the NXT champion. She was NXT Champion for 510 days, to be exact, and to date, this is the longest reign record for that title. The remarkable feats of The Empress have been visible since her debut. Her NXT journey is still considered one of the best runs for a wrestler in the third brand of WWE.
She won the championship from Bayley on April 1, 2016, at NXT TakeOver: Dallas. After that, she defended the title on several occasions. She faced several minor injuries during her journey in NXT. But despite such injuries, she always performed in the ring whenever she was challenged. The Empress of WWE finally vacated her title on August 24, 2017, and joined the main roster of Raw.
