Based on NFL’s Taylor Swift sentiment, DeSean Jackson bends towards Chiefs ahead of Ravens clash

One of the most exciting games on the NFL calendar is upon us. It is the AFC Championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs, and the intense affair could not have happened any sooner.

With most of the retired and veteran NFL athletes picking out their favored sides based on recent performances and statistics, retired WR DeSean Jackson had a pretty interesting way of choosing which side would come up trumps. Let’s find out more.

Eagles WR keeps Chiefs ahead of Ravens due to Taylor Swift factor

The Philadelphia Eagles sure owe a lot to their legend, DeSean Jackson. His mighty runs along the sideline are fondly remembered by the Eagles faithful as some of their most glorious moments. However, it seems like Jackson has now gone down the route of becoming an NFL analyst, albeit basing his opinions on the most ridiculous of things.

In a recent conversation with the host, Kay Adams, at the Up & Adams show, DeSean Jackson specified who he picks for the marquee clash between the Ravens and the Chiefs. He said, “It is hard to pick against Mahomes, and Andy Reid. I think it’s a lot about Taylor Swift. They are gonna want her to be at the Super Bowl, it’s Taylor Swift!”

He continued, “So as much as I want to pick Lamar Jackson as they have been on fire throughout this year. I feel like the NFL is gonna want her in the booth and maybe show her off. In my heart, I wanna go with the Ravens, but my gut tells me that it’s gonna be the Chiefs.”

Chiefs’ record in AFC  Championship game

Under the tutelage of a coach like Andy Reid and a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs have excelled beyond recognition. Winning four Super Bowls in the last five years is by no means a small feat, and the core group in this franchise knows just how to get out of crunch situations.

According to Nola.com, the Kansas City Chiefs have a great record in AFC Championship games. They are 5-3 in AFC championship games and are in this round for the sixth consecutive season, which is two games short of the league record of eight straight by the New England Patriots (2011–2018) but is well ahead of any NFC team in NFL history.
