Bayern Munich to face stern competition from Premier League duo for Leverkusen starlet Florian Wirtz

Germany is known for producing some of the best talents in soccer, and many of their players are highly sought by other leagues as well. Florian Wirtz is the latest German wonderkid to come out of the Bundesliga, currently impressing for Bayer Leverkusen managed by the legendary Xabi Alonso.

After having convinced everyone of his superior soccer abilities and skills, it seems there is a huge interest in him from many big clubs, and a transfer battle is incoming.

The 20 year old wonderkid has been impressive this season, bring a crucial part of the team led by Xabi. The team is currently top of the Bundesliga, two points ahead of Bayern Munich. They are also leading their Europea League group, and in both competitions they have showed some good statistics.

A large part of their success is due to Florian Wirtz, who was out for a long time due to an ACL injury. And yet it looks like it didn’t affect him too much and he is now leading the team to possible glory. Seeing his abilities, he is now on the radar for many big teams.

Bayern Munich, as always, are the most linked with the player. The player would definitely want the big move and is the most possible destination for now. But the Bavarians will have competition from two clubs in the Premier League. Those two clubs are Chelsea and Liverpool, who want Wirtz in their lineup.

Liverpool are already planning to replace Mohamed Salah and Wirtz is a good replacement. Chelsea also are looking to improve their squad with some more attacking talent, despite so much players bought in recent times.

Wirtz is valued at €85 million by Transfermarkt, a reliable soccer-related transfer website. This makes him one of the most valued players in the current market. It is expected that Leverkusen will only consider offers in excess of €100 million and only in the next summer. They will not want to lose a player in January while fighting for many titles.

Those have been crucial to the team, bringing in important wins. He is so important to the team, that he has played 83 percent of all games at the club so far, and is almost always a starter.

The player is hugely versatile as well, as he can play as a winger though he is best used as an attacking midfielder. This is a great quality as well in a player nowadays. The 2003 born player has already been called up to the German national team 12 times, a remarkable stat at just 20.
