Becky Lynch predicts “hard time” in store for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40

With his WWE Universal Championship in hand, Roman Reigns has been noticeably pulled down his appearance from the weekly broadcasts. For some, it’s a luxury enjoyed by A-listers, while for others, it shows a complete lack of commitment. Even his brief cameos managed to rile up a dominant force from the Women’s division, Becky Lynch.

Once again, Becky Lynch took aim at the Tribal Chief, this time not because of his few appearances but because she thinks his current workload is going to be tough.

Becky Lynch fires shots at Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is getting ready to headline not one, but two spectacular battles at WrestleMania 40. On the first night, he teams up with The Rock to take on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Then, on the second night, Reigns will face off against the resilient Cody Rhodes to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. This change in the pace of his workload caught the attention of Becky Lynch, who’s also getting ready to compete in the Show of the Shows.

In the past, The Man had taken issue with Reigns’ inconsistent appearances; but, as WrestleMania drew near, she brought attention to the difficulty of his balancing duel act. Recently, in an interview with ABC Philly, she alluded to her spouse Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, and Tribal Chief, implying that it could be difficult for Reigns to manage the double responsibilities.

The 37-year-old former NXT champion noted, “It’s going to be hard, but that’s why they’re the champs. For Roman, he’s probably doubling he’s work that he’s done over the last year because he hardly ever shows up to work. It’s going to be real tough on him. It’s going to be a lot hard on him. Cody is used to fighting. Seth Rollins is used to being a fighting champion. I think Roman Reigns is going to have the hard time here.”

Prior to this interview, The Man consistently voiced her dissatisfaction with Roman Reigns’ title reign and work schedule. Even once, in 2022, a RAW champion got it wrong when Becky criticized the Bloodline leader’s PPV schedule.

Becky Lynch once denounced Roman Reigns’ work ethic

The more Becky Lynch shows why she’s one of WWE’s biggest stars, the more popularity she gets. Over the course of her career, she has competed against many world-class competitors in the ring. When she was the RAW queen in 2022, she had very heated fights with Bianca Blair because of the RAW Women’s Championship.

During that time frame, Roman Reigns was the top star in the men’s division, holding the WWE’s most-honored belt. However, due to his restricted work schedule, he did not participate in every WWE PPV event, including WrestleMania Backlash. The Man didn’t take this lightly, feeling frustrated because, as a top star, she had to defend her title at every PPV event during her reign, unlike Roman Reigns.

She took to Twitter to express her sentiments, saying, “When I was champ, my title was defended on every PPV. #WWEBacklash.” This tweet caused some confusion because RAW champion Bianca Blair was also absent at the WrestleMania Backlash. However, Becky cleared up the misunderstanding in her second tweet by explaining, “I was talking about Roman.”

Oh, hi, this is Md Robin Ahmed, a WWE fan and I everyday go through a slew of popular WWE stories on Sportszion. Watching Big Show's Showstopper was the beginning of my passion for WWE, though I have to say that his Chokeslam is not one of my favorite moves. Over time, my love for professional wrestling has intensified, mostly due to the Shield, and my all-time favorite wrestler in WWE is Big Dog. I would give everything to be able to be within a few feet of him to witness his iconic Superman Punch and Spear. My major is engineering, but I'm most happy when I'm doing something artistic that doesn't put me under any pressure. Watching them wrestle and discuss their matches is always fun for me. And I've finally discovered a career that gives me fun since it allows me to with my dream heroes lifestyle. So, Welcome! I'd love to hear from you on LinkedIn and Facebook.
