WWE superstar Becky Lynch is eyeing another historic achievement at the WWE WrestleMania 40. At the Elimination Chamber in 2024, Lynch made her debut inside the steel structure. Against all odds, The Man emerged victorious, earning a chance to compete for Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley’s Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 40.
Lynch is no stranger to WrestleMania, having famously won the main event of the show in 2019 and also being part of the first all-women’s WrestleMania main event. She is also excited about the upcoming one, which gives her another chance to break another record.

In an interview with ClutchPoints, Becky Lynch expressed her desire to open WrestleMania, and also talked about her upcoming autobiography.
“I would love to open the show. I would love that. I’ve never opened WrestleMania before. To open this one, as big as it is in Philadelphia, I’m just putting that out there,” she manifested with a laugh. “It would be pretty cool because if it’s not the main event, I always want to be the opening spot — it’s always a great place on the card because people are so excited.” said Becky Lynch.
The Man also clarified that she wanted to open the weekend’s matches, especially as Rollins was part of the main event.
“Ooh, night one. I would love to open the whole of WrestleMania, you know what I’m saying? Just [to] be that first match for that whole event. [Opening the show will] give me enough time that I can relax and really enjoy Colby [Rollins] main eventing WrestleMania and getting to watch him do that because that will be so special,” said Becky Lynch.

In a thrilling match with many high points from all competitors, Becky Lynch emerged victorious by capitalizing on a chaotic ending involving Bianca Belair and Liv Morgan. She secured the win by pinning Liv Morgan with a Manhandle Slam, earning herself a Women’s World Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 40.
As the wrestling match approached its final stage with only three competitors left, Morgan made an impressive move by countering Belair’s KOD with a Jawbreaker. However, her triumph was short-lived, as Lynch almost took her down with a Manhandle Slam. Morgan countered that move too, with a Codebreaker.
Belair then attempted a KOD on Lynch, but Lynch managed to land on her feet. At that moment, Morgan took advantage of a distracted Belair and rolled her up. Lynch then delivered her finishing move, and “The Man” pinned Morgan to win the match.
Naomi was the first to be eliminated. She was pinned by Tiffany Stratton, who took advantage of Naomi being in a vulnerable position after hitting a Sunset Flip Powerbomb on Morgan. Stratton had an impressive performance in her debut Elimination Chamber match. She eliminated Naomi and also executed a Swanton Bomb from the top of one of the pods to take out the other participants. However, she was later eliminated by Morgan. Morgan broke up Stratton’s Prettiest Moonsault Ever attempt and launched her off the ropes, resulting in her elimination.
