Bengals QB Joe Burrow suffers painful bloody index finger injury during NFL Week 9 game against Bills

Entering the season with a strong determination to outshine Patrick Mahomes, Cincinnati Bengals star player Joe Burrow has been struggling to find his groove. A preseason injury set him back, and consecutive injuries are further stressing the Bengals’ offense.

In Week 9, an exciting matchup unfolded between the 4-3 Bengals and the 5-3 Buffalo Bills. Burrow unfortunately suffered yet another injury during the game, adding to a season plagued by injuries.

Joe Burrow suffers bloody finger injury

Joe Burrow sustained a finger injury during the second quarter of Sunday night’s game. With about six minutes left in the first half, the starter was spotted with a bloody injured finger. Later, the 26-year-old sought the assistance of medical personnel during an injury timeout for a Bills player.

NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth retorted that he had been messing with it the entire break. In his reply, sideline reporter Melissa Stark explained that he was dealing with treatment as tension began to grow among the fans.

“(Burrow) sat on the bench and they cleaned off that right index finger. He did not take any warm-up throws,” per Cincinnati.com.

Thankfully, the injury wasn’t severe, so he didn’t miss any part of the game. Despite the injury, it didn’t stop him from performing at his best. He threw his second touchdown pass in the second quarter, a 22-yard strike to tight end Drew Sample.

Joe Burrow was sidelined in the Bengals Week 1 game because of an injury he suffered in preseason. That time his injury caused much tension for the Bengals for which even Ja’Marr Chase suggested him to skip the game. The Bengals player’s luck again stuck with injury in Week 2 when he injured his calf.

Prior to ending the night with injury, Joe Burrow stunned his fans with a dashing outlook. He decided to offer the audience a sneak peek at the wizardry he would perform on the field because the game had not yet begun.

All Burrow fans could not take their eyes off him while he walked into Paycor Stadium, wearing a green outfit and diamond-striped headphones.

It was the first game between the Bills vs Bengals since Damar Hamlin startled the NFL world, collapsing on the field for cardiac arrest. Nevertheless,  the Bills safety had to skip their Week 9 game as well and is yet to make his debut this season.
