Bengals’ QB Joe Burrow’s wit shines with hilarious response to Melissa Stark’s finger injury question

Being one of the most followed leagues in the country, the NFL garners a lot of attention towards its star players. Joe Burrow, quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals is surely one of the biggest youngsters to watch on the circuit.

American Football QBs are often known for their skills on the field, but their wit and laughable antics off the gridiron are ignored. However, thanks to Melissa Stark, fans got to see a rather hilarious side of Burrow that left netizens reeling.

Joe Burrow’s perfectly timed quip

After a scintillating performance against the Buffalo Bills, Joe Burrow spoke to sportscasters on the side of the pitch and helped them analyze the game from his point of view. One of those was Melissa Stark who had a rather interesting chat with the 26-year-old.

Speaking on NBC Sunday Night Football, Stark asked Joe Burrow about a slight finger injury he suffered during the game against the Bills. As a reply to this question, Joe Burrow funnily quipped, “It’s just a little scratch. That’s football baby,” sending Stark and his teammates into splits.

Netizens were quick to jump on Burrow’s wit and hilarity with one user commenting, “Shoot your shot Joe!” while another compared him to Macaulay Culkin, of “Home Alone” fame. The user said, “Joe Burrow could pass for the adult version of the Home Alone kid!!”

Burrow’s brilliance propels Bengals to win vs Bills

Burrow’s brilliance was on full display against the hapless Buffalo Bills as the Cincinnati Bengals romped home to a 24-18 victory at the Paycor Stadium. The mercurial signal caller threw for two touchdowns, amassing a season-high 348 yards in the process.

In fact, he is also nominated for the FedEx Air NFL Player Of The Week for his efforts out on the pitch per WLWT. He is one of the three QBs nominated for the award, with the others being CJ Stroud and Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys.

His guile and pinpoint accuracy helped the Bengals to a relatively easy victory against Damar Hamlin’s Buffalo Bills who was himself in the news for a rather unfortunate incident. Burrow looks like he’s in top form after recovering from the calf injury he suffered in pre-season training, which was aggravated during their Week 2 game.

Up next, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will be facing the Houston Texans in a must-watch game next weekend. Burrow will be looking to fire on all cylinders against the high-flying Texans who are currently second in the AFC South standings.
