Dion Dawkins left no room for ambiguity regarding his feelings towards the Jets in a recent interview on VladTV. His emotions were laid bare as he unleashed a tirade against his rivals.
“I hate them. All of them, bro…. I feel like they play the sport to try to be cool. Like, those are a bunch of dudes that just want to take pictures on Instagram. That’s whack”, Dawkins said via NFL.com.
The reason behind the Bills star’s ire dates back to the Week 11 encounter with the Jets. The Bills emerged victorious with a resounding 26-point win over the Jets. However, the game was not without its fireworks, as tensions spilled over post-game. Dawkins recounted the incident by singling out Jets defensive end Michael Clemons for his unsportsmanlike conduct.
“Weirdos being weird. I don’t even want to give the man no credit talking about him. But number 72. Michael Clemons. B—- boy.”
According to the Bills star, Clemons crossed a line by directing obscenities towards Bills players, including quarterback Josh Allen. He made it unequivocally clear that such behavior towards his quarterback was unacceptable.
Dion Dawkins’ frustration reached its peak during the confrontation with Clemons on the field. He ended up getting fined for unnecessary roughness in the end. The experienced player expressed no remorse, standing up for his quarterback and teammates against what he saw as disrespectful actions.

The Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner clapped back at Dion Dawkins following the veteran’s rant on Jets players. In a now-deleted post, he mocked the Bills star for appearing shirtless in the interview.
“He gon’ say we be trynna be cool, but went on Vlad and don’t have a shirt on”, Gardner wrote with several laughing emoji.
For his part, Gardner was there and told media beforehand that he was trying to diffuse the tension during the fight. He made it clear at that point that he had no personal problems with any of the players involved and was just trying to find a resolution.
