Boxing community reacts to Ryan Garcia ranking KSI below Jake Paul in ‘Retire’ on his boxing tier list: “Where is Floyd Mayweather?”

Ryan Garcia is one of the most popular boxers in the world today. His recent boxing tier list caused controversy due to the omission of a certain boxer and the positions of crossover boxers. Nevertheless, the list did include some notable names, including himself.

Garcia lost his undefeated record in boxing in his most recent bout to Gervonta Davis in one of the most anticipated fights of the year. The fight lived up to expectations but was criticized due to the hydration stipulation that Davis enforced on Garcia.

Ryan Garcia ranks KSI below Jake Paul on his boxing tier list

Ryan Garcia recently provided his boxing tier list much to the astonishment of boxing fans. However, many agreed with his notion that Manny Pacquiao is the ‘GOAT’ of boxing. Moreover, he named Amanda Serrano, Katie Taylor, Tyson Fury and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez as all time greats of the sports.

Garcia provided the list for DAZN boxing in a recent interview. He named Devin Haney, Regis Prograis, Jake Paul, Bam Rodriguez, Sonny Edwards, Oscar Duarte, and himself as good boxers. KSI who recently lost to Tommy Fury, the younger half-brother of Tyson Fury was the only one who was put on the retirement list by Garcia.

Jake Paul and KSI are bitter rivals even though KSI is a friend and business partner of Logan Paul, Jake’s older brother. Paul and KSI have only lost once in their boxing career, to the same opponent in Tommy Fury. Paul recently congragulated Fury for his victory over KSI in the recent Prime Card.

Boxing community reacts to Ryan Garcia’s boxing tier list

The boxing community on X, formerly Twitter, was not happy by the list provided by Ryan Garcia. The dissent was mainly due to the absence of Floyd Mayweather and the position of KSI beneath that of Jake Paul. They vented out their frustration with comments on X.

“Where is Floyd @RyanGarcia”, commented one fan. Floyd Mayweather retired undefeated in fifty professional bouts which includes a victory over Manny Pacquiao whom Garcia named the GOAT. Mayweather is now active in exhibition bouts and will be rematchig John Gotti III after their infamous first encounter.

“Bro still mad KSI said Deen would beat him”, commented another fan. Nurideen Shahid Shabazz, popularly known as Deen the Great is a crossover boxer who called out Ryan Garcia for a fight. Apparently, KSI picked the YouTuber to prevail over the boxing superstar. The fan insinuated that it was the reason why he put KSI on the retirement list.

“Bro tried to be humble by putting himself lower than everyone else instead of KSI, little does he know that he genuinely is worse than everything”, commented yet another fan. Obviously, the fan seemed like a hater of Garcia who disregarded his achievements by stating that he is worse than everything.

Sans the defeat to Gervonta Davis, Garcia has had a stellar career. However, Garcia has more fame as an influencer on social media than in boxing, which has come at odds with many boxing fanatics. Nevertheless, Garcia is one of the biggest PPV stars in boxing, which has a dearth of superstars at the moment.
