Boxing fans are going crazy over KSI’s Misfits’ 2 vs 1 fight announcement: “How is this even getting sanctioned”

Crossover boxing has taken the boxing world by storm, and KSI-owned Misfits promotion is at the forefront with its partnership with the streaming platform DAZN. Involving fighters without accomplished amateur or professional records, the crossover boxing realm serves as a playground for top influencers like KSI, Jake Paul, and Logan Paul.

For the upcoming Misfits event titled “MF & DAZN: X Series 13: FoxTheG vs Most Evil Tag Team in Nashville, Tennessee,” the promotion has promised spectators a surprising format.

Misfits announcements 2 vs 1 boxing fight for DAZN series 13 event

MF & DAZN: X Series 13 will be headlined by an outnumbered boxing match, a first in the sport, featuring influencer Fox Towley, widely known as FoxTheG, against the teamed-up UK influencers, Most Wanted, represented by Evil Hero (Stuart Kellogg). This duo is named “Team Most Evil” for their upcoming bout against Towley.

The outnumbered boxing match will follow the same rule set as Misfits boxing’s tag team matches, first introduced at MF & DAZN: X Series 005: Jay Swingler vs NichLmao. Similar to professional wrestling, fighters can tag in their teammate after touching in their corner. The inaugural Misfits tag team boxing match featured Los Pineda Coladas (Luis Alcaraz Pineda and BDave) against D-Generation Ice (Anthony Vargas and Ice Poseidon).

Even though the outnumbered boxing match had people talking, the main event participants are relatively newcomers and do not have that much of a following. However, the leaked undercard of the fight has had fans riled up as Anthony Taylor takes on Gabe Silva for the Misfits light heavyweight title. Moreover, former UFC fighter Chris Avila takes on Jake Bostwick in another light heavyweight bout.

Furthermore, the American influencer Nikki Hru is also on the card as she will be fighting for the vacant Misfits female lightweight title against the UK’s Alexia Grace. MMA fighter David Wilson, popularly known as Baby Hulk is also on the fight card as he makes his debut against UK influencer Joey Knight.

Boxing fans react to Misfits’ 2 vs 1 fight announcement

The 2 vs 1 outnumbered boxing match announcement of Misfits boxing did not go unnoticed by boxing fans on social media as they made their thoughts known in the comments section. “How is a 2v1 even getting sanctioned,” commented one fan.

“bro what even is this…,” commented another fan who showed her apparent disgust as what she felt was a mockery of the sport of boxing. “A main event…. With two fighters with less than 6k followers combined,” another fan commented as they bashed the main event fighters who do not have a fan following on social media.

“Excited for the tournament ones, big fights. main event is fox vs 2 bums, hardly impressive at all,” commented yet another fan, expressing disappointment in the main event fighters, whom they did not find to be an impressive feat.

Nonetheless, the event is expected to tune in big numbers particularly due to the unconventional main event fight. The event is Misfits’ second event of 2024 and first in the United States of America.
