Real Madrid’s star Brahim Diaz has had an inspirational journey, progressing from being a ball boy at Malaga to playing alongside his idol Isco at Real Madrid. At the age of 24, he boasts experience with some of the world’s elite clubs like Manchester City and AC Milan.
This season, Diaz has played a pivotal role in his team’s successful campaign. The attacking midfielder once again proved his worth during the Champions League Round of 16 matches against RB Leipzig. Despite sustaining an injury in the match, he has assured that it is not a serious one.
Brahim Diaz provides positive update on his injury
In June, Brahim Diaz returned to the Spanish capital to rejoin the Los Blancos for a second spell at the Santiago Bernabeu, and regardless of the lack of opportunities, he shined with his magnificent outings yesterday, claiming the Player of the Match award for his splendid European outing.
He was given the start as a replacement for Jude Bellingham, who was sidelined due to an injury anticipated to keep him out of action for the next few weeks. His solo goal was the pivotal moment that distinguished the two teams, leading Los Blancos to a 1-0 victory over the Bundesliga outfit.
Remarkably, the 24-year-old mimicked his teammate Bellingham’s open-arm celebration after scoring the opener and putting his side ahead, dedicating the goal to him. Eventually, in the 84th minute, he was forced off the pitch, and Lucas Vazquez replaced him for the final minutes of the game.
After receiving the Man of the Match award post-match, he addressed his injury, downplaying its severity, “I feel good. I think my injury is not serious. I celebrated like that for Jude; he wanted to play this game… so this goal is for him. I’m so happy at Real Madrid,” he stated.
Brahim Diaz reveals ex-teammate he speaks more than girlfriend
When asked about the best moment of his career following his recent performance, Diaz replied, “Yes, I feel well, but I was also happy at Milan, and I will forever be grateful to them. I love everyone at the club because I spent three amazing years in Milan, and I am happy here as well.”
Regarding his bond with Milan defender Theo Hernandez, a former talent of Real Madrid, Diaz expressed, “Of course, I did. I talk to him more frequently than to my family or my girlfriend. Certainly, I always keep tabs on them [AC Milan] and will continue to do so indefinitely.”
Brahim Diaz had initially moved to Real Madrid from Manchester City in 2019, before transferring to AC Milan, where he enjoyed a successful three-season stint, making 124 appearances and contributing to 33 goals. He even became an Italian champion with the Rossoneri in the 2021/22 season.
